Music By...Tyler, The Creator
I am a Tyler, The Creator admirer. Controversial? Whatever, the guy is creative. I think he fits the description of what an artist should be. He makes certain people feel uncomfortable, angry, and confused by his work. He creates an outlet for others through his music..finally someone understands what they feel. Someone is communicating all the warped up emotions. He makes his voice and his art seen by everyone. I appreciated "Goblin", it was a good album, but I love "Wolf". "Wolf" is more tame and will draw in those who are hesitant to listen to Tyler's earlier work because it may seem violent. "IFHY" is a good example of a song that kind of creates a balance between Wolf and Goblin. It has the harsh words leftover from "Goblin" but this time it's mixed in with the slight vulnerability shown on "Wolf". I love the way Tyler expresses the frustration and elation of being in love with someone. How one minute that person can drive you completely mad and off the wall, and the next you just want to be immersed in them and everything they represent to you. And the wordplay...you don't even want to get me started on that.
